Durham Police yesterday said a 48-year-old female has been seriously injured while riding her dirt bike in Clarington.
On Saturday, October 5, at about 2:45 pm, officers from East Division responded to of a single motor vehicle collision on a trail near Boundary Road, east of Highway 115, in Clarington.
The dirt bike, being driven by a 48-year-old female from Ajax, was eastbound on the trail when it lost control. The rider was ejected and sustained serious injuries. She was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where she remains in serious condition, police said.
Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area of the trail was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
