Armed robber demands weed and cash from Oshawa store

Durham police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a cannabis store in Oshawa.

On Thursday, April 24, around 9 pm, officers from the Central East Division responded to a report of a robbery at Twisted Root, a cannabis store located at 191 Bloor Street East. According to Durham Regional Police, a male suspect entered the store armed with a firearm and demanded that an employee hand over both cash and cannabis products.

The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money before officers arrived. No physical injuries were reported.
