Blackstock residents asked to conserve water for a month

The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents and businesses that water conservation measures will be in effect for municipal water supply users in the Hamlet of Blackstock in the Township of Scugog.

When: March 27 to April 27. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Where: Blackstock, in the Township of Scugog.

Why: Ongoing upgrades and construction at the Blackstock municipal well site. The water conservation measures are necessary to maintain adequate water levels to deal with emergencies, including fire protection.

Note: All municipal water supply customers in Blackstock are asked to exercise water conservation and discontinue all non-essential outdoor water use.

Special efforts are being made to maintain normal water service during this period.
