Collision in Oshawa sends cyclist to Toronto trauma centre

Durham police say Athol Street East and Drew Street in Oshawa were closed Monday afternoon as officers responded to a serious collision involving a cyclist.

According to police, the cyclist was struck by a vehicle and transported to a trauma centre in the Toronto area with serious injuries.

The roads were temporarily closed while police conducted their investigation.

There’s no word yet on potential charges or what led to the collision.
