Design Oshawa’s 100th anniversary commemorative pin

The year 2024 marks the 100th anniversary since Oshawa received city status, and the city is seeking submissions from local artists to design a commemorative pin to mark the occasion.

The official enamel pin will be a tangible representation of the city’s history, culture and achievements that residents and community members can wear proudly to celebrate this significant milestone, said a city statement.

Local artists are invited to submit a design. All submitted designs will be evaluated by a jury comprised of members from the City’s Public Art Task Force and Community Centennial Committee. The final design will be produced and made available throughout the centennial year.

The deadline for submissions is Thursday, November 23, 2023 at 4 pm.

The centennial will be celebrated throughout the year with numerous events and initiatives. For the most up-to-date information on the Centennial year celebrations, visit Oshawa.ca/100anniversary or email culturecounts@oshawa.ca.
