Driver – and a hydro box – hurt in solo crashes

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) officers yesterday again urged drivers to drive carefully and to stay alert on the road.

The reminder came from DRPS North Division officers after they reported that a driver was involved in this single motor vehicle collision (images top and below).

The car had rolled over and crashed into a field in Zephyr, Uxbridge. The driver taken to local hospital with moderate injuries, police said.

“Please drive with due care and attention,” they added.

Meanwhile, DRPS East Division officers issued their own reminder to Durham drivers.

“Reminder: Stop at Stop signs,” said the police after they caught a driver on Woodstream Drive and Grandview Street North, next to Seneca Trail Public School, driving past a Community Safety Zone stop sign.

The driver was fined $180 and received three demerit points.
