Another pair of knife wielding teenagers who attacked two people were tracked down with the help of Drones as First Responder (DFR).
On August 21 police announced that two 14-year old boys who robbed their victim at knifepoint were tracked and arrested with the help of DFR (see below).
Now the two teen boys, both aged 15-year old, are facing charges following the armed assault in Oshawa.
On Saturday, August 22, at around 5:30 pm, members of Central East Division responded to an unknown trouble call in the area of Glen Street and Malaga Road. Two teens were reported chasing two other males while armed with knives. Both suspects fled as officers arrived on scene.
With the assistance of the Drone as First Responder (DFR), officers were able to track and locate both suspects before taking them into custody.
No injuries have been reported to police.
One of the 15-year-old boys from Oshawa was on weapons prohibition conditions at the time of his arrest.
The other 15-year-old boy, also from Oshawa; was wanted on outstanding arrests warrants and bound by weapons prohibition conditions.
Both teens were held for a bail hearing.
