The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) will officially unveil Air4, its new Airbus H125 helicopter, during a special ceremony at the Oshawa Executive Airport.
Air4 is part of Ontario’s Joint Air Support Unit (JASU), a collaborative initiative involving police services across the Greater Toronto Area.
The unveiling is on Tuesday, September 29 at 10 am.
Police Chief Peter Moreira, DRPS Board Vice Chair Karen Fisher, Minister of the Solicitor General, Michael Kerzner, and Mayor of Oshawa Dan Carter, are expected to attend.
The price tag for an Airbus H125 brand new helicopter is up to US$4 million factory-direct before mission equipment.
