Have your say in Florell and Deer Valley parks redesign

The City of Oshawa is redeveloping Florell Park at 960 Florell Drive and wants to hear your thoughts on preferred playground equipment and accessibility.

The conceptual plan includes a new playground with sheltered seating area, accessible park pathway, and new site furniture and amenities.

Community members are invited to provide their feedback by visiting Connect Oshawa to view a conceptual plan and complete the online feedback form www.connectoshawa.ca/florellpark.

Feedback will be received until noon on Thursday, October 28, 2021, and will be considered in the selection of playground equipment and accessibility of the site.

“Community feedback is vital in our Parks’ redevelopment process,” said Oshawa Mayor Dan Carter. “I encourage residents to participate and share their feedback on the redevelopment of Florell Park.”

Deer Valley Park Redevelopment

Oshawa is also redeveloping Deer Valley Park located at 870 Deer Valley Drive and would like to hear your thoughts on preferred playground equipment and accessibility.

The conceptual plan includes a new playground and splash pad, with sheltered seating area, accessible park pathway, and new site furniture and amenities.

Community members are invited to provide their feedback by viewing a virtual presentation and completing the online feedback form below, including ranking your preferred playground equipment options.

Feedback will be received until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, and will be considered for the redevelopment project.
