Help us with our multiple tickets: speeding husband to officer

DRPS Traffic Services officers come along with many types of excuses from errant drivers, but few are brazen requests to not only ovelook the current offence, but to wipe the slate clean of past offences for both husband and wife.

This is exactly what happened last week when a couple were stopped for driving too fast – at 104 kmh in a 60 kmh zone.

According to DRPS Road Safety officers, the male driver in this husband-and-wife race team, repeatedly asked the charging officer to help him out regarding the multiple tickets they received.

“The officer would rather help out the citizens of Whitby by ensuring their safety,” police said.

Their car was towed away (see top image).
