Home hit after shots fired in residential Ajax street

Durham Police are investigating after shots were fired on a residential street in Ajax on Thursday, evening.   

On December 1, members from West Division attended the area of McClustey Avenue and Hurst Drive after receiving information of a possible shooting that occurred Thursday at approximately 11:30 pm.

Officers attended the area and located several shell casings. No injuries were reported; however, a home on McClustey Avenue did sustain minor damage from a bullet. There are no suspect descriptions at this time, said a police statement.

Police are looking for a dark-colored SUV that was seen in the area near the time of the shooting.

Anyone with home security or dash-cam video near the above location, or anyone with new information about this incident is asked to contact D/Cst. Suthers of the West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2542.
