Impaired driver crashes into… cruiser at police station

On Saturday, September 18, at 8 pm, an officer from West Division was conducting a traffic stop at Brock Road and Kingston Road in Pickering.

The officer was out of his vehicle speaking to the driver when a black mini-van ran into the back of his fully marked cruiser, that had its emergency lights activated.

After speaking with the driver of the mini-van, the officer believed her to be impaired and she was brought to West Division where she provided breath samples.

A 24-year-old female from Pickering is charged with Impaired Operation and Careless Driving. Her vehicle was impounded and her licence suspended for 90 days.

There were no injuries. The incident occurred just across from the police station front doors.
