Kars on King rolls back into downtown Oshawa August 22

The City of Oshawa is set to welcome back Kars on King on Friday, August 22, from 3:30 pm to 9 pm, transforming downtown into a lively hub of vintage vehicles, live entertainment, and family fun.

This free annual event invites car enthusiasts, families, and visitors to experience hundreds of classic vehicles lining King Street and surrounding roads. The evening promises a celebration of automotive history and local culture.

Activities for all ages

Classic car displays will anchor the event, while live entertainment takes place at the Main Stage located at King Street and Celina Street, with performances scheduled at 3:30 pm, 5:30 pm, and 7:30 pm. Attendees are also encouraged to explore culinary offerings from downtown Oshawa restaurants.

Families can visit Memorial Park for interactive programming, presented by OMVIC. Activities include Zoo to You’s live animal exhibit, the LivingRoom Mobile Art Bus, inflatables, games, and performances from strolling buskers.

The popular Touch a Truck experience, presented by Oshawa Power and hosted by Tribute Communities Centre (TCC), is also back for its 11th year. Visitors can get up close with more than 30 unique vehicles from 4 pm to 8 pm outside the TCC.

Out-of-town visitors can take advantage of the Auto Lovers Family Getaway from August 19 to 23. The package includes accommodations at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, admission to both the Canadian Automotive Museum and the Canadian Tank Museum, and access to Kars on King.
