The Regional Municipality of Durham is notifying residents of lane restrictions on Simcoe Street in the Township of Scugog.

These will begin from today April 27, to May 26. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Lane restrictions will be in place daily on Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2), from 740 metres south of Scugog Line 4 to 180 metres north of King Street, said a region statement.

It said the lane restrictions will be in place for the installation of paved shoulders.

The region said it realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
