Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) have issued an arrest warrant for a 36-year-old man wanted in connection with two separate sexual assault incidents.
According to police, the first incident occurred in January when the suspect was visiting friends in Clarington. During the visit, he allegedly touched a nine-year-old child inappropriately.
In February, police say the suspect sexually assaulted an adult victim at a residence in Whitby. The victim reportedly woke up to the assault, after which the suspect took her to his vehicle and continued the assault, according to investigators.
Authorities are concerned there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to contact police.
The suspect, a 36-year-old man from Whitby, is wanted for several charges. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
Police describe the suspect as a white male, 5’6” with a medium build, brown hair, and a full beard.
