The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming road closure of Bowmanville Avenue in the Municipality of Clarington.
Bowmanville Avenue (Regional Road 57), will be closed between King Street (Regional Highway 2) and Stevens Road, in Bowmanville from November 24 at 8 pm to November 25 at 6 pm. Unfavorable weather conditions may impact the work schedule, the region said.
The road closure is required for paving operations and part of the Bowmanville Avenue widening and reconstruction project.
The region said emergency access will be maintained during the closure, and detour routes will be posted in advance. Businesses in the area will remain open throughout the construction.

Multiple roads to close for Orono parade
The Municipality of Clarington announced that the following roads in Orono will be closed on Saturday, November 25 from 10 am to noon for the Orono Santa Claus Parade:
- Mill Lane to Mill Street
- Mill Street to Main Street
- Main Street to Station Street
- Station Street to Princess Street
- Princess Street to Orono Fair Grounds
It urged road users to use alternate local roads. Emergency access will be available.
