Beginning January 3, Metrolinx is making adjustments to GO Transit services across the network and within the Region of Durham to better meet customer needs.
Following the holiday season, service to post secondary institutions that had been suspended in November and December 2025 for the holiday season will be reinstated. This includes trips on GO Bus routes 52 (Oshawa-Vaughan), 56 (Oshawa-Oakville) and 88 (Oshawa-Peterborough).
Metrolinx will also be adding a bus stop for routes 52 (Oshawa-Vaughan), 56 (Oshawa-Oakville) and 92 (Oshawa-Yorkdale) at Gibb Street, east of Stevenson Road to accommodate long-term construction on Simcoe Street in Oshawa. This stop is located near the Oshawa Centre shopping mall.
There are more changes across the network, including route extensions, added trips, and two discontinued routes. Please be sure to view your schedule and plan your trip in advance.
Beginning January 3 the GO bus schedules on routes 16, 17, 21, 29, 30, 31, 33, 40, 47, 56, and 71 will be changed to better reflect actual travel times. There will be more weekday trips on routes 29 and 31 due to increased demand, Metrolinx said.
