Oshawa has closed off two parks – Kingside Park and Pinecrest Park, and part of Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park – for construction upgrades.
The City of Oshawa will be undertaking construction of Kingside Park including site grading, pathways, parking lot, playground, pickleball courts, site furnishings, signage and plantings, said a city statement.
- Where: 537 Tennyson Avenue.
- When: 7 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, April to fall of 2022.
For public safety, Kingside Park will be closed and fenced during construction, said the statement adding that from time to time, heavy equipment will need to access the site from Tennyson Avenue, and associated noise levels may increase during these times.
Pinecrest Park
Oshawa also announced construction at Pinecrest Park including site grading, pathways, playground, splash pad, site furnishings, signage and plantings.
- Where: 1350 Beatrice Street East.
- When: 7 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, April to fall of 2022.
For public safety, Pinecrest Park will also be closed and fenced during construction. From time to time, heavy equipment will need to access the site from Beatrice Street East.
Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park
The City of Oshawa said it is undertaking construction of the Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park including site grading, parking lot, pathways, formal gardens, stage with shade structure, site furnishings, signage and naturalization plantings.
- Where: 169 Harbour Road (southeast corner of Simcoe Street South and Harbour Road).
- When: 7 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, April to December 2023.
For public safety, the park west of the Oshawa Harbour, will be closed and fenced during construction. From time to time, heavy equipment will need to access the site from Simcoe Street South or Harbour Road, and associated noise levels may increase during these times.
