Oshawa City Council members at the reopening of Kingside Park

Oshawa reopens Kingside Park with new amenities

Oshawa yesterday announced the reopening and revitalization of Kingside Park, located at 537 Tennyson Avenue.

Kingside Park is a 2.87 hectare neighbourhood park located near Wilson Road South and Dean Avenue in Ward 5. It now features pickleball courts, senior and junior playground equipment, including an accessible swing (coming soon), parking lot upgrades and patio sets with shade umbrellas (coming soon). Additionally, tree plantings and naturalized areas connect the natural environment throughout the park, said a city statement.

“We are excited to offer the community a revitalized space to meet with friends and family to enjoy recreation in the great City of Oshawa,” said Oshawa Mayor Dan Carter. “The newly revitalized Kingside Park offers residents of all ages many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors from pickleball courts and playground equipment to shaded areas.”

The redevelopment project incorporated community engagement feedback. For more information about Kingside Park, visit the City’s Parks and Facilities Directory or to learn more about parks, trails and natural areas visit oshawa.ca/parks.
