Pickering music event turns scary as shots ring out

Durham Police were called to a billiards lounge in Pickering after shots were fired inside the establishment during a music event.

On Tuesday, August 8 at about 2 am, members from West Division responded to the Diamond Billiards and Lounge located at 2200 Brock Road in Pickering for reports of a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene and located a discharged round. No injuries were reported, and no victim was located, said a police statement.

Police are actively looking for one suspect (image above) described as male, Black with a light complexion, shoulder length braids, medium to heavy build, wearing a white shirt with an orange and red design on the back, blue jeans and yellow and white running shoes.

Police are appealing to anyone who was inside the establishment at the time of the altercation and may have information about the suspect to come forward. Any witnesses with cellphone video are also encouraged to come forward and speak with investigators.
