Pickering thief released on undertaking

Durham Police yesterday said a 51-year-old male is facing charges following a number of thefts from vehicles in Pickering.

On Tuesday, September 27 at around 3 am, members from West Division were dispatched to a suspicious person call after a male wearing a red hoodie was observed trying to enter vehicles on Westcreek Drive. Officers located the male suspect and were able to recover property.

The suspect with no fixed address was released on an Undertaking. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.

Investigators are asking residents in the area of Altona Road and Finch Avenue to check their property and vehicles to see if any items are missing. Residents are also being asked to check their CCTV footage to see if it has captured the individual.
