Plans are progressing to develop a 154-home community in Oshawa, according to a city notice.
It said Official Plan Amendment 213 was passed on April 3 to redesignate certain lands east of Ritson Road North and north of Adelaide Avenue East, from Industrial within a Regeneration Area to Residential (see map below). The proposed Official Plan Amendment is exempt from approval by the Region of Durham.
The city said the effect of By-law 32-2023 is to permit 154 apartment units (stacked townhouses) with site-specific regulations related to:
Reduced interior side yard depths,
- Reduced yard depths abutting Oshawa Boulevard North and Ritson Road North,
- Reduced building height,
- Increased lot coverage,
- Reduced landscaped open space,
- Reduced visitor parking and to
- Permit tandem parking.
It said all written and oral submissions received by the City of Oshawa were considered in the making of this decision.
