Road alert: Upcoming closures in Oshawa, Uxbridge

Several ongoing and upcoming road closures and traffic restrictions have been announced in Oshawa and Uxbridge.

Road users being reminded to keep them in mind while planning travel in, to or across the affected areas.

Oshawa closures

Conlin Road East will be closed to through traffic and there will be no through access for emergency vehicles. Local traffic access to be provided from Harmony Road. Temporary conditions signs will be posted in accordance with provincial standards, said a Durham Region notification.

  • When: From January 27, 2022 to January 28, 2022
  • Where: between Harmony Road North and Grandview Street North
  • Why: watermain installation-Kedron, Fieldgate Subdivision

Thoroughbred Street too is being closed to through traffic, and there will be no through access for emergency vehicles.

Temporary conditions signs will be posted in accordance with provincial standards.

  • When: From January 24, 2022 until February 12, 2022
  • Where: between Dance Act Avenue and Chevron Prince Path
  • Why: to install sewer connection

Uxbridge closure

An upcoming road closure on Sandford Road in Uxbridge has been announced by the Regional Municipality of Durham.

  • When: January 31 until March 7. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
  • Where: Sandford Road (Regional Road 11), between Concession 2 and Concession 3, in the Township of Uxbridge.
  • Why: To repair the Smith Bridge over Pefferlaw River.
