Road closures, lane restrictions in Oshawa, Clarington

The City of Oshawa and the Regional Municipality of Durham have announced ongoing and upcoming road closures and lane restrictions in Oshawa and Clarington.

Ritson Road: This road in Oshawa will be closed today (Saturday Oct 01) from 8 am to 2 pm.

It will be closed between Coates Road and the CPR tracks for a Community Care Durham cycling fundraiser.

Newcastle: There are ongoing lane restrictions on Regional Road 17, in Newcastle, in the Municipality of Clarington.

When: September 30 to October 31. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Regional Road 17 from 50 metres north of CPR Grade Separation to Monroe Street West, in Newcastle, in the Municipality of Clarington.

Why: To safely install a sewer and watermain to support new development.

Courtice: Regional Municipality has announced road closures of Baseline Road and Trulls Road in Courtice

When: The Baseline Road closure will be in place from October 3, 2022, to August 4, 2023. The Trulls Road closure will be in place from October 3, 2022, until December 2023.

Where: Baseline Road from Courtice Road to Trulls Road, and on Trulls Road from 300 metres north of the CP Rail to 1.3 kilometres south of Bloor Street, in Courtice.

Why: To safely conduct road reconstruction and install a new watermain and sanitary sewer.
