Shooting at Ajax party: Suspect car video released

Durham Police are seeking the assistance from the public in identifying a suspect vehicle from a shooting in Ajax in August.

Investigators from West Division said this suspect vehicle was observed on video surveillance at the scene of the shooting on August 1, 2022 at the rear of Dams Foods on Harwood Avenue South in Ajax.

It is believed that there were multiple shooters at this event and police are seeking for witnesses to come forward, said a police statement.

It’s believed that a suspect was in attendance at the customer appreciation party and was involved in a verbal altercation with some patrons. The suspect left the restaurant and hours later returned and opened fire at the party. Six adults, three females and three males were shot. Four suffered non-life threatening injuries and two victims suffered life-threatening injuries. All victims were listed in stable condition.
