Region says Taunton-Townline works to end by October 2

The latest notice from the Regional Municipality of Durham projects ongoing work at Townline Road North and Taunton Road East in Oshawa and Clarington’s community of Courtice, will end by October 2.

The intersection has been closed to traffic for some time.

When: Ongoing until October 2. Work progress and unfavourable weather conditions may influence the schedule.

Where: Townline Road North and Taunton Road East will remain closed in all directions to through traffic. Townline Road North also remains closed from Beatrice Street East to Coldstream Drive.

Why: To safely install new sanitary sewers, storm sewer, local watermain and to conduct road reconstruction.

The municipality said local traffic and emergency services will be required to use the signed detour routes.
