Durham Police investigators arrested the two suspects of two convenience store armed robberies.

On Wednesday, November 16 at about 6:45 am, members of East Division were dispatched to the Circle K convenience on King Street for an armed robbery. The male suspect entered the store armed with a handgun and made a demand for cash. The suspect fled from the store eastbound on foot. The victim didn’t sustain any physical injuries, said a police statement.

On Friday, November 18 at around 4:50 am, members of Central East Division and East Division were called to the Circle K convenience store in the area of Taunton Road East and Trulls Road for an armed robbery. The male suspect entered the store and made a demand for cash and cigarettes while brandishing a firearm. The suspect took cash and cigarettes and fled to a nearby vehicle driven by the female suspect.

The victim didn’t receive any physical injuries.

Police eventually located the suspect vehicle in the area of Highway 2 and Farrow Avenue in Newcastle. The suspect vehicle struck a police cruiser before losing control and leaving the roadway.
