Suspect at large after beating, robbing GO Train rider

Durham Police are appealing for public assistance in a robbery investigation. Investigators are looking for a suspect who assaulted and caused serious injuries to the victim.

On February 22 at about 10:45 pm, members of Central West Division attended the Oshawa Go Train station where they located a male victim who had been beaten and robbed of his personal belongings. The victim had been a passenger on the eastbound train from Union Station. He was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for severe injuries. He has since been released, said a police statement.

The suspect was not located; however, he was captured on surveillance cameras.

The suspect is described as male, White, curly brown hair, facial hair. He wore a black jacket, blue shirt, black pants, pants and black shoes. His photo can be viewed here above and at www.drps.ca under Newsroom.
