Aggravated assault on woman at billiards club

Durham Police are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male wanted for Aggravated Assault.

On Sunday, April 3 at about 3 am, members from West Division were called to a billiards club in the area of Brock Road and Major Oaks Road in Pickering. They arrived on scene and located a female victim who had been assaulted. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where she was treated for serious, non-life threatening injuries and released, said a police statement.

The suspect is described as male, Black, large build, bald head and glasses. His photo is attached (left) and can be viewed at www.drps.ca.

Police are urging the suspect to contact a lawyer and turn himself in.

Anyone who may have information about his whereabouts is asked to contact D/Cst. Beline of West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2541.
