Elexicon Energy yesterday announced that there were two widespread power outages in Ajax and Pickering area.
Hi there! We had two large power outages in the Town of Ajax and the City of Pickering. If you are still without power, please call 1-866-579-6819, said an Elexicon alert.
It said up to 500 customers were affected in Pickering. The cause of the outage was unknown.
It did not issue any further details.
Meanwhile, the Durham District School Board (DDSB) said it was aware of a power outage in the Ajax/Pickering areas that may be impacting some schools.
“We are monitoring the situation.”
