Would anyone dare drive behind this vehicle?

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) has yet again warned drivers to secure their loads before getting on to the road.

The warning was emphasized when officers of DRPS North Division were on a patrol on Highway 7/12 and Townline Road in Scugog on Thursday.

This car (image above) was stopped for ‘insecure load’.

Police reminded that no portion of the load may become dislodged or fall, leak, spill or blow from the vehicle.

The violation carries a $160 fine. The driver also received other points for infractions, police said.

Notices cruiser, brakes hard

In the Township of Uxbridge, North Division officers were at Regional Highway 47 and Uxbridge Concession Road 2, when this vehicle (image below) crested the hill at 114 kmh in a 50-zone.

The driver braked hard when he saw the marked cruiser.

“Would you believe that this is the second time the G2 driver has been charged with stunt? It’s a fact,” said police.

North Division said numerous traffic tickets were handed out including speeding, tires, alcohol readily available to driver, and seat belts.

Officers also focused on school bus safety.

Please obey the rules of the road, said the police.
