The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising road users of upcoming lane restrictions on King Street (Regional Highway 2) in the community of Bowmanville, in the Municipality of Clarington.
It said King Street, between Bowmanville Avenue (Regional Road 57) and Clarington Boulevard, will be restricted from July 12 to September 8. Unfavorable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
The lane restrictions are part of the Bowmanville Avenue widening and reconstruction project, it explained.
It said businesses in the area will remain open throughout the construction.
The region said it realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
