Whitby updating development-related fees

The Town of Whitby is inviting residents to participate in a Statutory Public Meeting scheduled for Monday, June 2, to gather public feedback on proposed changes to building permit, development, planning, and engineering fees.

The proposed changes are being considered under Section 7 of the Building Code Act, and include updates to existing fees and the addition of new ones.

The meeting will be held at 7 pm in Council Chambers at Whitby Town Hall (575 Rossland Road East) and will follow a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and virtual participation. The meeting will also be live-streamed via the town’s website at whitby.ca/livestream.

The town encourages community participation to ensure feedback is considered before any by-law changes are enacted.
