Woman rear-ends SUV, ends up in ditch, refuses breath sample…

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) North Division officers charged a 41-year-old female driver with Refuse Breath Demand and Impaired by Alcohol and Drug after she was involved in a collision with a SUV and ended up in a ditch in North Durham.

On Tuesday, October 19, officers received a call around 5 pm and responded to a collision near Simcoe Street and Glen Road in Brock, said a police statement.

They found the suspect had rear-ended a SUV and then ended up in a ditch.

The woman driver from Richmond Hill, who was operating a white Toyota was arrested and faces charges of Impaired Operation by Alcohol and Drug, Refuse Breath Demand, Drive Motor Vehicle with Alcohol Available and Drive Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available.

Her licence was suspended for 90 days and she was released on an undertaking, police said.
