You’re invited to Oshawa’s 100th anniversary party on March 8

On Friday, March 8­­­, 2024, the City of Oshawa will mark its 100th anniversary as a city.

“We invite community members to join us as we mark this historical milestone with a series of events, activities and commemorative projects over the course of the year,” said a city statement.

In celebration of 100+ years, Oshawa is kicking off the festivities on Friday, March 8 with the following free activities:

  • Official 100+ Anniversary Celebration live broadcast, 10 am – 12 pm on  Rogers Television
  • Free Leisure Swims and Skates, various times and city facility locations sponsored by Oshawa Power
  • Commemorative Flag Raising, 3 pm at Oshawa City Hall, Civic Square

The centennial sponsors are: Durham College, Ontario Tech University, Trent University Durham GTA, Renewal By Andersen, Ontario Power Generation, Lovell Drugs, Enbridge Gas, CRCS-DKI, Peacock Lumber, and TD Bank.
