Sleep clinic technician charged with sexual assault, released

Durham Police yesterday said a male employed as a sleep clinic technician has been arrested after he sexually assaulted a patient during her appointment in Oshawa.

On Saturday, January 13, the victim attended the Oshawa Centre for Sleep Medicine located at 13 Charles Street. During the victim’s appointment, the clinician made numerous inappropriate comments and acted in an unprofessional manner, said a police report.

Police are concerned there may be other victims and have attached an image of the accused at www.drps.ca. Names and further details are also available there.

The suspect has been released on an undertaking, police said.
