14th Durham pole of the year knocked down

How could we even think that the year would go by without at least one more Durham pole pulling yet another motorist towards it?

By our count, we have the 14th pole of the year to be knocked down last week.

Not much is known of the incident as it was reported in a brief tweet by the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS). But, we hope that the driver [and  passengers- if any] are safe.

“Officers are currently investigating a motor vehicle accident at Lakeridge Road and Highway 48. The traffic light standard has knocked down. Please be careful in that area,” said the DRPS tweet.

There was no follow-up statement.
