Bullet goes through Durham resident’s jacket, misses him

Durham Police are investigating after shots were fired on a residential street in Whitby Monday morning.

On November 29 at about 12:15 am. members from Central West Division were dispatched to the area of Waller Street near Dryden Boulevard for reports of gunshots. Officers attended the area and located shell casings. A resident was in his garage at the time of the shooting. A bullet went through the male’s jacket but didn’t strike the male. There was damage to the residence from the gunshots. No injuries were reported, said a police statement.

It is believed that the suspects fled in a vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

Home invasion at Uxbridge farm

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) said its investigators are looking for two male suspects after a home invasion at a farm house in Uxbridge last Thursday.

It said one male was armed with a gun and the other a large knife.

DRPS North Division investigators are looking for any witnesses to this incident.
