Critical Care Services back at Bowmanville Hospital ICU

Lakeridge Health yesterday announced that its Critical Care Services have returned to Bowmanville Hospital Intensive Care Unit.

Effective September 7th, inpatient critical services will be returning to the Bowmanville Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU), said a Lakeridge Health statement.

This follows a temporary relocation of the services to the Ajax Pickering and Oshawa hospitals.

“We recognize the impact this situation has had on our staff, patients, and their families. We are grateful to the many staff and physicians who work tirelessly to ensure we would safely return these services as soon as possible.

“Patient safety and supporting the needs of our communities and team members remain our top priorities. We appreciate the patience, cooperation, and understanding of the Durham Region community,” the statement added.
