Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) K-9 Unit yesterday announced the great work done by police service dog (PSD) Klutch, in helping save a suicidal person’s life.
They said it was team work between PC Wes King, K9 Klutch and DRPS East Division, which looks after Clarington.
Officers and K9 Klutch teamed up to track a person in crisis threatening to end their life, said a police statement.
After a short bush track, Klutch located the person which resulted in officers de-escalating the tense situation and preventing injury or loss of life, it added.
The statement did not provide any further details.
