Lane blocks in Whitby from today, upcoming in Oshawa

The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Anderson Street (Regional Road 36) and Dundas Street (Highway 2) in the Town of Whitby, from today September 25 to October 20.

It is to safely complete road resurfacing.

Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule, it said.

Restrictions will be in place on Anderson Street from north of Dundas Street to south of Crawforth Street and Dundas Street from 460 metres east of Garden Street to 200 metres west of Anderson Street.

Upcoming Harmony Road lane closure

The municipality also announced the upcoming closure of southbound lanes only on Harmony Road North (Regional Road 33) in the City of Oshawa.

These will be on September 30 only from approximately 7 am to 7 pm, to safely repair a watermain.

The southbound lanes will be closed on Harmony Road North, from Greenhill Avenue to Conlin Road East.

Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
