Male, female charged after drug raid… and released

Durham Police yesterday said a male and female are facing charges after search warrants were executed in a drug investigation in Bowmanville.

In June, members of East and Central West Community Response Teams began an investigation into drug trafficking. On Thursday, July 20, members of both teams executed Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrants in the area of Ontario Street and King Street East in Bowmanville, said a police statement.

The warrants resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of 51 grams of cocaine, 101 oxycodone pills, 41 clonazepam pills, 50 ecstasy pills, 34.5 grams of psilocybin, 3.6 grams of meth, 3.2 grams of fentanyl and a quantity of Canadian Currency.

The suspects, both of Bowmanville, were charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
