This has been a milder winter relatively and there have been no whiteouts of note in Durham – as yet.
Perhaps, that is why – for a moment – Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) officers may have been a bit perplexed to see almost all white in front of them during one of their patrols In Scogog last week.
“White out and it’s not snow,” said officers from the DRPS North Division, when they saw a car billowing out large amounts of exhaust fumes.
Police said the driver was stopped and charged with unreasonable smoke.
“Please ensure your vehicle is in good working order,” they advised Durham residents.
