Pizza Pizza Swarming: Three 11- 15-year old girls among 5

Durham Regional Police are searching for five individuals in connection with a violent swarming incident that took place at a Pizza Pizza in Oshawa.

According to police, on Wednesday, July 2, around 12:30 am, officers from Central East Division responded to a reported assault at the restaurant located at 199 Wentworth Street West. A group of individuals, believed to be youths, were reportedly causing a disturbance when one of them jumped behind the counter and attempted to steal an item.

Police say the suspect was confronted by the victim, leading to a violent struggle. Several others then jumped behind the counter and assaulted the victim in what police describe as a swarming attack.

The incident was captured on surveillance video, and investigators have released descriptions of five suspects:

  • Suspect 1: Female, Black, thin build, long braids, about 12–15 years old. She was wearing a grey t-shirt, grey spandex pants, and black sandals.
  • Suspect 2: Female, Black with a light complexion, thin build, black braids tied in a bun, about 12–15 years old. She was wearing an orange hoodie, black leggings, and black shoes.
  • Suspect 3: Female, Black with a light complexion, thin build, black box braids, about 11–12 years old. She was wearing a grey hoodie, black leggings, and black shoes.
  • Suspect 4: Male, White, slim build. He was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and white shoes.
  • Suspect 5: Male, Black, slim build. He was wearing a black mask, black hoodie, black puffer vest, and black and white Nike Dunk shoes.

Police are urging anyone involved in the swarming to consult a lawyer and contact the Durham Regional Police Service.
