Police investigating ‘disturbing’ image, text found in Ajax

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday acknowledged that they are aware of ‘disturbing image and writings’ that have been circulated in Ajax.

These were found in the area of Rossland Road West and Ravenscroft Road.

“We are currently inveestigating the matter and will provide updates to community members as they become available,” promised a DRPS statement.

No further details were released till late last night including the nature of the image and text.

It said “the DRPS is committed to providing quality service in partnership with our community to create a safe place for people to live, work and play.”

There have been other incidents in Durham, more so in schools.
