Proposal to build 63-home community in Clarington

The Municipality of Clarington said it has receved a proposal for the development of a 63-home community in Courtice.

It said Holland Homes submitted a subdivision and zoning by-law amendment application to permit the development of 63 lots, including 48 street-related townhouse units and 14 single-detached dwellings. One lot is proposed to be retained for the existing heritage dwelling.

The site area is approximately 2.4 hectares (5.9 acres) and is located at 1440 Gord Vinson Avenue in Courtice.

A public meeting, online or in-person, to discuss the project, was held on March 6 at the Municipal Administrative Centre in Bowmanville.
