Special Victims Unit to investigate sex assault at Ajax GO station

Durham Police are investigating reports of a sexual assault that occurred at Ajax Go station on Friday evening.

On October 6 at about 8:15 pm, the victim was standing on the platform at Ajax Go Station located at 100 Westney Road South in Ajax when he was approached by an unknown male.

The victim and the suspect left the area of the platform at which time the victim was sexually assaulted, said a police statement.

The victim and suspect separated and both headed toward Toronto. The Toronto Police Service were contacted who then contacted the Durham Regional Police Service.

The suspect is described as male, Brown, 25-30 years, 5’11” tall, 200lbs, full beard. He was wearing a rain jacket and beige pants.

The Special Victims Unit has now taken over the investigation and is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
