Big truck owners and drivers are known to take pride in their powerful machines, trying to outdo each other in chrome finishes, colours, fancy lights and snazzy paint designs – but there is always limit.
And, when that limit is crossed, the police does step in as happened to this Mack driver (top image) who was, perhaps, blissfully motoring along the sleepy roads of Uxbridge.
We know the sun can get pretty strong in your eyes, but Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) North Division officers draw the line on heavy front window tint.
“No front window tint, especially not on a Commercial Motor Vehicle,” said an alert of theirs on June 17.
They found another passenger truck driver, who too was charged for front window tint , as well as a Tesla driver who failed to display the required two plates.
Both these incidents too, took place in Uxbridge (see images below).
On June 17, DRPS North Division launched Project North Focus, a year-long North Division Roadway Safety Initiative, focusing on targeted enforcement and education at major intersections in Brock, Scugog, and Uxbridge.
“Our goal is to enhance roadway safety and reduce collisions,” said the police.
