Travel Alert: Some roads to be closed across Durham

A few road closures are anticipated for the week of June 22 across the Durham Region.

The temporary road closure of Glenanna Road from the north limit of The Esplanade South has been extended to the north limit of The Esplanade North. The road is closed to facilitate the Installation of the Region of Durham’s watermain.

In addition, the west sidewalk of Glenanna Road from Pickering Parkway to The Esplanade South will remain closed. Both vehicle and pedestrian detours have been provided, and all applicable signage will be posted.

The duration of the closure is from Monday, June 22 to Tuesday, June 30.

Sideline 32 road between Highway 7 and 7th Concession Road is also closed on Monday June 22 from 5 am to 11 pm due to filming activity .

Bloor Street at Courtice Road to 60 metres east of Courtice Road will be closed from June 22 to July 6 for sewer installation.

There will be a hard closure east of the intersection, with no access for motorists, cyclists, or pedestrians through the work zone during construction.
