Two in hospital after midnight stabbing in Whitby

Durham Police said a 35-year-old male has been arrested after a stabbing on Wednesday morning.

On October 11 at around 12:40 am, members of Central West Division responded to reports of an armed person in the area of Millstone Crescent and Forest Heights Street in Whitby.

Police arrived on scene and located two adult males suffering from stab wounds. One male was taken into custody without incident. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was also transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

This was an isolated incident and there are no safety concerns to the public, it added.

The suspect of Whitby was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
